Taylor Wins WGSTM Finale and CHAMPIONSHIP

When it comes to looking back on the 2011 White Gate Services Thunder Modifieds season for East Coast Thunder it will be known as Todd Taylor’s year. Taylor dominated the Bill’s Auto Repair 150 at Thompson International Speedway on Sunday by holding off Modified veterans Bobby Ambroceo and second place point man Jim Windrow for the victory in the late stages of the event. Taylor Takes VICTORY at Stafford

The White Gate Services Thunder Modified Series made their way to Stafford Motor Speedway this past Sunday for the penultimate round of the 2011 campaign. Todd Taylor came into the George’s Auto Body 150 with a forty point advantage over two time titlist Jim Windrow in the standings while Bobby Ambroceo was looking to pick up a win at one of his favorite tracks. Spradlin Flawless at Talladega

The Southern Superstars Racing League (SSRL) brought together thirty-four of the best super speedway drivers from across the map to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital in the ScreenThatPorch.com 200 at the Talladega Super Speedway. At a track where the top spot can be crucial to victory, it was Alabama’s Chase Spradlin cashing in on great pit work to keep his #75 out front of the field to win on Monday night. Spradlin led a race high thirty-six of the seventy-six laps completed on the high banks of the 2.66-mile track to take the win. Continue reading

Eden Scores 8th Annual Daytona 250

When the green silk dropped on Tuesday night, it didn’t take long for Jeff Eden and John Higman Jr. to make their presence known at Daytona. Mainiac Racing and Green Flag Racing presented the 8th running of the Daytona 250 on Tuesday which not only served as the lid-lifter to the winter season but was a stage for some of the best super speedway racing seen in a long time on RLMtv! Lewis is Late Model CHAMPION for 2010

At a track based in a town known for its Stampede, Kentucky’s Allen Lewis won a rodeo of a Late Model 250 to claim the 2nd Annual Late Model Championship. Lewis, driving the #155 NOS Energy Drink/ParkerHammons.com Toyota started 3rd in the twenty-five car field and would lead a race high 138-lap en route to the victory. Lewis was chased most of the second half of the race by runner-up David Krikorian (Los Angeles, CA) while a wreck with six laps to go would promote Selden, New York’s Jeff Rogers to third, Justin McLeod (London, ON) to fourth and Marc Williams (Moncton, NB) to fifth. Monaco Wins for the Kids, Takes ICR at Chicagoland

The third race of the Interleague Charity Racing’s 2009-10 campaign took the drivers to the Chicagoland Speedway this past Saturday night where NARL driver Eric Monaco (Charlotte, NC) outlasted a field of twenty to take the win. The race, which brought multiple leagues together from the NASCAR Racing 2003 Season platform raised over $400 for the Victory Junction Gang Camp, bringing the total to over $1000 between the three events ran at ICR. Irizarry Completes Truck Series Season at Blazin’ Pedals with Victory

It was Goose Creek, South Carolina’s Luis Irizarry holding off many late charges by taking the checkers first on Wednesday night’s South Beach 160 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway for Blazin’ Pedals. Irizarry started third in the twenty car field and led twenty laps in his third win this season. Bart Fuerstenberger (Cheyenne, WY) came home in the second place position ahead of Larry Galley (Newtown, PA), Ryan Tracey (Edgewood, MD) and Scott Tracey (Edgewood, MD). Continue reading

Noftsker becomes Final Winner at MRL Racing

In what could be described as a fantastic showcase of super-speedway racing, the Retirement Race for MRL Racing was run this past Friday at the Talladega SuperSpeedway. With twenty-eight of the top drivers from across the sim community creating many well choreographed two-and-three wide moves, the goal to grab the final checkered flag in MRL Racing history was a tall task. In the end, Tim Noftsker took his #088 Pabst Blue Ribbon Chevrolet Impala from the rear of the field to the top of the board after the 54-lap event! Continue reading

Ron Larkin Jr Victorious in Texas

With a tight point battle looming large, the drivers of Southern Racing Online pulled into Texas for their two-step on the 1.5-mile oval on Sunday. With the SRO Cup Division being contested with three times the regular pit wear under a fixed setup, the 84-lap affair was set to be a historic tilt on the Fort Worth track. Josh Moyers and Dave Snyder started on the front row and each would take turns leading during the event as the two led for twenty-eight of the completed laps. Wilson rules the day in Ontario

Between six lead changes and two yellow flags, Justin Wilson drove his #6 Taco Bell Ford F-Series truck straight to victory lane in the MRLRacing.com SS Series race at Ontario Motor Speedway. Wilson beat out Jim Black and Paul McCollum to take the checkered flag, despite leading the most laps.
