Mike Sharp Claims Final Race of 2010

The NWO and DWI leagues ran their final race of the 2010 calendar year on RLMtv on December 30th at the Texas Motor Speedway and like many races we had seen in the previous months the drivers left us wanting more in 2011. Finishes at these types of tracks have provided exciting last lap passes and many two and three wide opportunities and with the talent that these two leagues bring to the track, nothing less was expected and was delivered in a big way.
When all the dust settled it was Mike Sharp taking the victory, leading forty-four of the 101 laps en route to the win. Thursday night Grand National champ XLER8ED came home with second to close off an incredible championship run while Charles Kettering, Jeff Eden and Ron Larkin Jr. rounded out the top five. A massive field of thirty-three throwback cars of the sixties began the race with twenty-four crossing the line at the checkered flag. The lead was swapped fifteen times between eight drivers with NWO’s Jeff Brumback leading the most of those laps with forty-five. Seven cautions slowed the event for twenty-six laps.

The event was the final race of the Thursday Night Grand National Series at NWO Racing for the 2010 season. The series plans on shifting to the ’34 Ford Coupe in the iRacing simulation in the upcoming year. For more information on this upcoming Legends or any other division at NWO – whether it be with NASCAR Racing 2003 Season or iRacing, head over to their official website at NWOracing.org and tell them that the guys at RLMtv sent you over!
