It was Goose Creek, South Carolina’s Luis Irizarry holding off many late charges by taking the checkers first on Wednesday night’s South Beach 160 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway for Blazin’ Pedals. Irizarry started third in the twenty car field and led twenty laps in his third win this season. In what could be described as a fantastic showcase of super-speedway racing, the Retirement Race for MRL Racing was run this past Friday at the Talladega SuperSpeedway. With twenty-eight of the top drivers from across the sim community creating many well choreographed two-and-three wide moves, the goal to grab the final checkered flag in MRL Racing history was a tall task. With a tight point battle looming large, the drivers of Southern Racing Online pulled into Texas for their two-step on the 1.5-mile oval on Sunday. With the SRO Cup Division being contested with three times the regular pit wear under a fixed setup, the 84-lap affair was set to be a historic tilt on the Fort Worth track. Josh Moyers and Dave Snyder started on the front row and each would take turns leading during the event as the two led for twenty-eight of the completed laps.
